Hitting the Green
There are several advantages in purchasing Gearhart, OR property for sale. For one, the city has everything one could ever need within its boundaries while the conveniences of Warrenton and Seaside are a quick drive away. Another plus is the fact that Portland is less than a hundred miles from here. Needless to say, Gearhart is home to captivating vistas and an enviable beach.
Besides playing host to nature’s splendors, Gearhart OR Real Estate is a locale that is characterized by an intimate community. It is not unusual for neighbors to stop, chat, and catch up. Because there are less than a thousand residents, everybody knows everybody here.
As a small coastal city, Gearhart is known for its beach and sandy shore. However, it is also known for its golf courses. Two splendid golf courses can be found in Gearhart, the Highlands Golf Course and Gearhart Golf Links.
Opened in 1988 and designed by George Marshall, Highlands Golf Course is where everyone can practice their swing. The 9-hole course is open to the public and from nearly every hole you can be distracted by views of the Pacific Ocean. In contrast to the relatively new Highlands Golf Course, Gearhart Golf Links is the oldest course in the northwest. Opened in 1892 with just three holes, this public golf course has since grown into an 18-hole course. The par 72 course has a slope rating of 112 and a course rating of 67.9.
